    Founder Shotaro Nakai established Nakai Kinshi Factory in Nara Prefecture and started production of gold and silver of metallic yarn.

    Trial production using a bobbin winding machine called “Maiwa” succeeded and provided momentum for the mass production of gold and silver of metallic yarn (later “MAMILON”).

    Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation acquired all shares of the Nakai Industrial group (Including indirect ownership).

April 1983Nakai MAMILON Co., Ltd. changed its name to Tokyo Nakai Shoji Co., Ltd.
July 1985Nakai Shoji Co., Ltd. changed its name to Kyoto Nakai Shoji Co., Ltd.
Nakai Industrial Co., Ltd. established Nakai Kinshi Industrial Co., Ltd. changed its name to Nara Nakai Industrial Co., Ltd., Nakai Kinshi Industrial Co., Ltd. (trading department) established.
1986Clean equipment (clean coater, clean slitter) installed in Shiga Nakai Industrial Co., Ltd.
